Scenes from a Childhood: A Photo Essay
Since y'all seemed to really enjoy the Michael Jackson pages from my childhood scrapbook, I thought I would share the rest of the pages (at least the pages I took pictures of four or so years ago when I moved to Supergenius HQ).
Sure this might just look like just a regular old purple glittery unicorn to you, but what you don't know is that this was meticulously made using glitter and glue. There was none of that fancy, schmancy glitterglue kids use these days. No, we had to make our sparkly unicorns the old way, with Elmer's and loose glitter that got all over everything (which wasn't a problem, really, sort of a bonus).
Stickers! I can tell you right now that my favorite was that irridscent unicorn in the lower right there between the fuzzy bunny and the brown bear. The unicorn sticker looks a little like it's farting balloons.
I was a big fan of The Outsiders.
BIG fan.
BIG BIG FAN.

Uncle Jesse, before he became Uncle Jesse. Back when he was a FOX, and played a troubled troubled teen on General Hospital named Blackie.
For reasons I cannot explain, there are random pictures of Legend of Bille Jean (fair is fair) and European Vacation ruining this lovely collage featuring Michael J. Fox whom I loved because he was Alex P. Keaton (I also had a soft spot for Skippy Handleman, the nerdy next door neighbor who loved Mallory).
Finally, the Minnesota North Stars. Willi Plett there, over on the left, he never, ever wore a helmet. I thought he was tough as nails.

The glittery unicorn is truly awesome.
Now I wish I hadn't destroyed my youthful fangirl scrapbooks.
This is great. Looking forward to your friendship pin retrospective.
